Policy and Procedure Writer
The Policy and Procedure Writer will report to the Director of Compliance. This position will be required to meet with Kondaur business leaders to review and gather existing policy and procedure documentation, create a new standardized format, convert existing documentation to the standardized format, and determine the optimum online solution for publication.
Responsibilities:
- Research, write, edit, and format policy and procedure documentation to support business operations.
- Conduct gap analysis to identify areas in need of documentation.
- Understand and become familiar with Kondaur software applications through hands-on exploration and collaboration with appropriate business personnel.
- Create, edit, and maintain policy and procedure documentation for current and future business operations.
- Ensure proper versioning and archiving of policy and procedure documentation.
- Determine the best software or method to publish online policy and procedure documentation, and maintain the information.
- Maintain currency of knowledge with respect to relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and/or two plus years of experience working as a Policy and Procedure Writer (examples of work required), preferably in a mortgage loan origination or servicing environment.
- Knowledge of state and federal laws and best business practices applicable to a mortgage lending or servicing operation is desired.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
- Effective multitasking skills; specifically being able to manage multiple priorities and projects daily.
- Exceptional follow-up skills.
- Ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers and all levels of management.
- Proficiency with desktop publishing software and Microsoft Word 2007 is required.
- Experience with image editing is desired.
- Experience with Web technologies (HTML, CSS, Javascript, etc.) is desired.
