IT Business Systems Analyst
We are seeking a talented Business Systems Analyst with excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong customer service skills and someone who is also self motivated and can prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Description:
· Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver detailed specifications, screen and interface designs and use cases, as needed, from which applications will be written.
· Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
· Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
· Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.
· Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
· Serve as the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams.
· Work with other IT subject matter experts to address system, hardware and system needs.
· Coordinate meetings and walk-throughs with business users to facilitate requirements gathering.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively and confidently with all team members, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
· Strong facilitation skills. Must be able to elicit requirements from various personalities across the organization.
· Able to manage user acceptance testing (UAT) process.
Requirements:
· At least 5 plus years experience as a business analyst
· Preferred college diploma or university degree in the field of business administration, computer science, accounting, or management information systems
· Leadership, facilitation, critical thinking, problem solving, decision making, attention to detail, and analytical skills required
· Solid working knowledge of SQL language strongly preferred
· Proficiency with Agile SDLC processes
· Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
· Must be flexible and willing to undertake a wide variety of challenging tasks.

· Proficient in screen design
· Able to train users as needed

· Practical knowledge in importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs and flow charts
· Proficiency with Visio, Snag-It, MS Word, MS Excel
· Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard or mouse, and to handle other computer components (able to type at least 70 WPM)
