Acquisition Associate
This entry level position requires high energy, very high attention to detail, strong work ethic, solid technical aptitude, and a strong sense of personal accountability, responsibility and achievement. This position actively participates in the Acquisition and Due Diligence of distressed residential mortgages, as well as assisting the sales floor in any way possible. Successful candidates demonstrate the proven ability to think critically and creatively in order to determine the best comparables to the subject property, as well as the current market trends in a particular area.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the Due Diligence of distressed assets which includes direct contact with Realtors throughout the US, property value research and analysis and various clerical duties.
- Develop a thorough understanding of Asset Management, Collateral Analysis and its functions, processes and operations.
- Staying up to date on current market trends and current business event.
- Perform other related assignments / projects as requested by the sales floor/management.
- Internal contact with other departments and external contact with customers and service providers.
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field is a must.
- 3 years + Residential Real Estate or Mortgage experience is preferred.
- Sales experience or a desire to get into sales is preferred.
- Residential underwriting and/or processing is a plus.
- Solid organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work as part of a team.
- Proactive thinking with detail-oriented and creative problem solving approach.
- Ability to work creatively and proactively with minimal supervision.
- Ability to manage a workload that will most likely include extensive hours and weekends.
