QC Specialist
Candidate will be responsible for reviewing Real Estate Purchase contracts, Final HUDS, Receipt of Wire Funds Transfer and final sign-off of Post Audit review. Performs audit work consistent with established procedures. Recommends when scope of audit should be expanded or reduced. Reports discrepancies or inconsistencies. Identifies, assesses and evaluates possible risk. Clearly documents work performed and conclusions reached. Maintains accurate and complete records and prepares audit findings and reports.
Responsibilities:
- Completion of audit and quality review assignments in accordance with established procedures performed under the supervision of Audit Manager.
- Expected to be familiar and accountable for compliance with the legal and regulatory requirements affecting job responsibilities.
- Identify and evaluate internal control strengths and weaknesses within business unit.
- Interpret and apply policies, standards and guidelines.
- Prepare reports that summarize findings and make specific recommendations of actions that should be considered.
- May perform other related duties or projects within the scope of responsibilities.
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree in Finance, Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in auditing activities.
- Well developed ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze data.
- General knowledge of mortgage servicing.
- Thorough knowledge of all appropriate regulations.
- Mortgage Lending or Escrow experience is preferred.
- Communicate effectively with diverse groups and individuals. Convey written and verbal information in a clear, concise and consistent manner.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously.
