Account Executive / Asset Manager
Strong mortgage sales skills required to actively participate in the acquisition and liquidation of distressed mortgages. Successful candidates demonstrate the proven ability to think critically and creatively in order to determine bid prices and loan-level exit strategies which balance foreseeable risks with potential profits. They will have a proven history of consultative selling and strong negotiation skills that will allow them to work directly with borrowers and related counter-parties towards the acceptance and execution of identified solutions. This sales position requires high energy, very high attention to detail, strong work ethic, solid technical aptitude and a strong sense of personal accountability, responsibility and achievement.
Responsibilities:
- Work independently to develop and maintain the proper business plan for the liquidation of each asset.
- Maximize total return for each assigned asset through the analysis of property efficiencies and identifying opportunities for improved performance.
- Negotiate sale agreements.
- Participate in strategies which provide protection for the company with respect to its interest in the collateral securing the loan.
- Participate in the due diligence of collateral condition and establish asset value.
- Negotiate sales with prospective buyers and conclude sales transaction with limited oversight.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the business and its functions, processes and operations.
- Keep abreast of business and market trends that may affect the business.
- Perform other related assignments / projects as requested by management.
- Internal contact with other departments and externally with customers and service providers.
- Assist with compliance issues.
- Respond to special analysis and information requests.
- Develop a business plan for individual properties.
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field preferred.
- Residential or commercial sales / originations experience is a must.
- Management experience is a plus.
- Strong record of achievement.
- Solid analytical and organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work as part of a team.
- Proactive thinking with detail-oriented and creative problem solving approach.
- Ability to manage a workload that may include extensive hours and weekends.
- Ability to work creatively and proactively with minimal supervision in an opportunistic entrepreneurial environment.
